solicitations

Federal agencies participating in the SBIR/STTR programs release their solicitations throughout the year. To help with planning, this calendar provides approximate solicitation windows for agencies with the largest budgets. Be sure to check each agency website for exact release and due dates.
Agencies & Solicitations
Seed funding for high-risk, high-impact technologies drives innovation and economic growth. Agencies provide specific SBIR or STTR funding opportunity announcements and instructions throughout the year. Different agencies use different terms for these funding opportunity announcements including Request for Applications, Broad Agency Announcements, or Notice of Funding Opportunity. The term “solicitation” is broadly used to refer to any agency funding announcement.
No agency accepts unsolicited proposals. To participate in the SBIR/STTR programs and have a chance at being awarded a contract or grant, you must respond to one of the agencies’ solicitations.
